Welcome to Cantinho dos Açores Restaurant, where every meal tells a story, every recipe carries a tradition, and every guest is treated like family.
My name is Marlene, and I am the proud owner and cook behind Cantinho dos Açores Restaurant, located in Taunton, Massachusetts.
I am a mother, a passionate cook, and a woman who turned her love for Portuguese and Azorean cuisine into a dream come true.
For me, cooking has never been just about food. It's about family, memories, traditions, and bringing people together around the table.
Growing up with the flavors and traditions of Portuguese cuisine inspired my passion for creating homemade meals that remind people of home.

Opening Cantinho dos Açores was one of the biggest dreams of my life. Like any dream worth chasing, it has come with challenges, sacrifices, long hours, and countless moments of hard work.
But every day, I walk into my restaurant with the same purpose: to serve delicious, authentic food made with love and to make every customer feel welcome.
Our kitchen celebrates the rich flavors of the Azores and Portugal — from traditional home-style dishes and fresh seafood to comforting family recipes and homemade specialties.
We believe good food doesn't need to be complicated. It needs fresh ingredients, tradition, patience, and a little love.

Cantinho dos Açores means Little Corner of the Azores, and that is exactly what I wanted to create.
